(Phrase) A dangerous myth perpetuated by novice writers who believe that their literary genius is a shield from legal repercussions. Newsflash: writing isn't a superhero power. You can't just scribble down libelous nonsense and expect to get away with it. Even the greatest writers of all time had to abide by the law. So, if you're planning on writing a masterpiece that will land you in jail, think twice. Because let's face it, your writing is probably not that good.
